Solution to today’s problem

“When you look at the state of the world today, there is no center. Small nations and larger nations only think of their own interests. In our hearts, we all desire to have a united world—a peaceful happy united world—but so many walls block our way.

We worry date we will be unable to say that the future for our descendants is a hopeful one. If that is the case for you to fulfill your responsibilities as elected representatives of the people is most important. The only path to solving all the difficult problems of the world today is through the manifestation of the True Parents, who can heal all the problems of all nations, whether rich or poor.”

Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, Inaugural Assembly of IIPP, 2017

The International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace (IAPP) was launched in February 2016 at the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea in the presence of 150 parliamentarians from 41 countries who gathered to discuss various challenges arising in the global community. Since then, some 6000 current and former parliamentarians have joined in membership throughout 120 nations, with a view to taking an active role in their regions.

In February 2019 South Korea, the 2019 IAPP General Assembly took place under the theme of “Peace, Security and Human Development,” calling for the international community’s interest and active participation in the establishment of a peaceful regime on the Korean Peninsula – the momentum for which was created through the inter-Korean summit and the U.S.-North Korea summit. In particular, the assembly adopted the IAPP Declaration, which supports the North-South joint bid to host the 2032 Summer Olympics, the hosting of 2019 Peace Road event in Pyeongyang, North Korea, and the reunification of Korea under God’s dominion.
