REPORT about HARP-Weekend 4. – 5. September 2021, Steffisburg Bern
After a long break from HARP weekends in Switzerland we decided to revive it. We organized it right in a central place in Switzerland, Steffisburg Bern. At 12 o’clock we gathered and ate lunch together.
After lunch we played some “Ice breaker games”. Nine HARP participants and three staff members got to know each other better through these funny games. We had amazing fun and joy!
Around the scout house there was plenty of space to play, to do sports, to relax and meditate, because it was surrounded by beautiful nature, forest, grass, mountains and a view towards the Lake of Thun.
In the afternoon we walked into a forest
It was a special “Lecture Walk” where we could learn from Joy about the 5 holy trees in Cheongpyeong, South Korea. We tried to connect to the holy trees in Cheongpyeong and Heavenly Parent, True Parents, by praying at certain trees in the forest, representing a holy tree.
The 5 holy trees for those who don’t know are: the Tree of Love, the Tree of Heart, the Tree of All Things, the Tree of Loyalty, the Tree of Blessing
Towards the evening we started to prepare for a campfire & barbeque. With the help of our national leader, Radomir Stantchev, we managed to get a big bonfire going. We had a wonderful evening of fellowship, singing holy songs, savouring sweet marshmallows and hearing a beautiful & deep testimony from Arlene. Soon we had to close the evening because it was time for bed.
The next day we had “Hoon Dok Hae” (reading words of True Parents) followed by morning sports, breakfast and Sunday service with a sermon. The title of the sermon was “intuition”. The sermon was very insightful and interesting. And we could all learn something.
After Sunday Service we had to clean up and after that we headed off to the city of Thun for sightseeing. There we had our picnic, and lunch and enjoyed some ice cream. The weather during these 2 days of our HARP weekend was really unexpectedly sunny and beautiful! God loves us!
The owner of the scout house, a farmer who lives nearby was really impressed & surprised about the way we took care of the property, how well we cleaned it and so he invited us to come again.
The kitchen staff, Ludmilla and Julia, really deserves our greatest appreciation and compliments for the wonderful food, cooking and service, providing us with vitamin “E” = Energy and vitamin “L” = Love!
So thank you everyone from the bottom of our hearts for making this HARP weekend an incredible and memorable experience with Heavenly Parent and True Parents and each other. Looking forward to meeting each and everyone of you again real soon!
